Management of the Market Square development is another milestone in Sinclair Brook’s history, and a City-shaping project in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. Designed by renowned architects Woods Bagot, from their founding Adelaide studio, the carefully crafted design compliments the adjoining World Class Adelaide Central Market, in this truly mixed-use redevelopment. The redevelopment includes a combination of residential apartments, hotel, commercial office and retail uses provides an activated precinct with a range of key amenities such as an expanded marketplace, new cafes& restaurants, newly activated laneways, and a podium-top terrace.

Sinclair Brook’s role included the coordination of the local design team, obtaining Planning Approval, appointment of a Head Contractor, and engagement with all key stakeholders.

Sinclair Brook were instrumental in assisting with the Community Scheme to create the private Air Rights above the historically City-held site, and managing the cost-sharing structure between project partners (City of Adelaide and ICD Property). This structure satisfied both the City’s, the Developer’s, and the project financier’s requirements – enabling the staged delivery of the project to proceed. Project specific issues included: aviation approvals, SAState Government Panel Assessment (SCAP), Hotel Design & fitout, Integrated Office Design & fitouts, and complex subdivision strategies.
